ABOUT THE EVENT
Turn Screen Time into Creative Time!
This guided and structured school holiday program introduces students to a range of exciting creative technologies through fun, hands-on activities and daily themed challenges.
Across the week, students explore different digital tools and creative mediums including digital illustration, coding, music production, animation, game design, and interactive storytelling.
Whether your child is already tech-obsessed or simply curious to try something new, this camp provides a safe, supportive environment where they can create, collaborate, and build confidence in their digital skills.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS WILL DO
Using a range of beginner-friendly creative software and technologies, each day is designed around a new digital focus and creative theme.
Each day, students will:
Start with a morning welcome
including roll call and an introduction to the day’s creative focus (e.g. digital art, coding, music production, game design, animation, invention and technology).
Take part in multiple guided creative activities
including hands-on workshops, creative challenges, design projects, and collaborative team activities.
Explore digital tools and platforms such as:
• Digital Art & Illustration using Sketchbook
• Music Production & Beat Making using Ableton Live
• Coding & Interactive Projects using Scratch and Microsoft MakeCode
• Game Design & Creative Technology Challenges
• Animation, storytelling and multimedia creation
Enjoy regular breaks
including recess and lunch (students are required to bring their own packed lunch box).
Participate in "brain breaks" throughout the day
to stay energised and engaged (movement and creative group activities).
Wrap up with a show and tell
where students can share their projects, creations, and discoveries with the group. (we suggest brining a USB so students can take home a folio of work they create)

Frequently Asked Questions
What should participants bring?
Bring a water bottle and any snacks or lunch needed for full day sessions.
All computers, software and equipment required for the sessions are provided onsite at The Array unless stated otherwise.
Do participants need prior experience?
Many of our programs are beginner friendly, unless stated otherwise.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
Cancellations must be made by emailing admin@thearray.gg at least 48 hours before the booked session to be eligible for a refund or credit.

Programs and events are held at The Array Learning Dogo which is located at the Charles Darwin University (CDU) Radicle Centre, 54 Cavenagh St, Darwin City, NT, 0800.
